The Wake Institute is a freestyle learning facility located on Pigeon Lake in the Kawarthas. They have an exciting approach to watersports that will help you build on your strengths and develop your own unique athletic style. The Wake Institute provides an exceptional learning environment where students earn a respected degree in shredding. Bright, articulate students seek the Wake Institute – and when they graduate, they’re ready to make a mark on the competitive scene, or enjoy a leasurely water sports lifestyle.

Inclusive and innovative with a focus on the individual student, the Wake Institute program is tailored to suite each students goals. Both the Ennismore and Bobcaygeon campuses are known for their supportive community environment and emphasis on creating a fun learning atmosphere. A Wake Insititute education provides students with a solid foundation in the wakesports of their choice as well as a support network to help achieve their desired level of personal success and involvement in the wakesport scene.

After years of extensive testing the Wake Institute’s lab scientists have opened the Wake Institute’s private rail park to the public. For several years, their talented team of faculty have been mixing different wake-specific chemical equations to find the perfect balance of a-frames, roof tops, boxes and dance floors; perfecting the wake park. At the Bobcaygeon campus they have a private bay filled with the perfect sliders for wakeboarding and wakeskating, and they are constantly adding to the fun with more and more safe obstacles for riders of all abilities. They have everything from first time rails, to a serious A frame and the famous two sided vert and ramp kicker.
